Event Setup Crew Lead (Supervisor) — Chicago | $30/hr+

We’re looking for a reliable and well-connected Event Setup & Teardown
Crew Lead in Chicago to build and lead a dependable team of event
workers for recurring event-based jobs.

The ideal candidate is someone with strong hands-on event setup and teardown experience who understands how events operate and has strong connections within the Chicago event industry. They should be able to bring together a reliable group of workers they know and trust. Previous supervisor experience is a plus, but not required — we can teach the right person the leadership and coordination side of the role.

Responsibilities:

– Recruit and coordinate a reliable team of event setup/teardown workers
– Organize workers for recurring event assignments
– Lead the crew onsite and ensure everyone arrives on time and prepared
– Oversee event setup, breakdown, loading/unloading, and general event labor
– Make sure your team follows instructions and maintains professional standards
– Step in and help with setup/teardown when needed

What we’re looking for:

– Extensive event setup/teardown experience — formal supervisor or crew lead experience is not required

– Strong network of reliable workers in Chicago

– Proven ability to recruit and organize people quickly

– Someone who knows their workers personally and can confidently vouch

for their reliability

– Strong leadership and communication skills

– Dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

– Available for recurring event assignments

Compensation:

$30/hr+ (depending on experience)

Trial period: September

This is a great opportunity for someone who already has a strong event

crew/network and wants to build and manage a team for recurring work.
