Wayfair has opened its first store in a Chicago suburb

Retail giant Wayfair opened its first store in the Chicago area on Thursday, May 18. The company is seeking to expand its physical retail footprint. The new home goods store is located in the Oak Brook Center, according to a company statement. The store will operate under Wayfair’s Joss & Main brand.

Joss & Main typically operates online. Last year, the brand expanded into physical retail with its first location in Burlington, Massachusetts.

The Oak Brook Center store features a „market hub“ that allows customers to view the latest trends in home decor, and in the design studio, customers can seek free advice and inspiration.

Wayfair also owns another specialized brand, AllModern. AllModern opened its first retail location in Lynnfield, Massachusetts in May 2022, and has since expanded to three additional locations.
