Trump: Zelensky is the greatest salesman in history, every time he comes to our country he leaves with $60 billion

Republican presidential candidate and former US President Donald Trump stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wants the Democrats to win the US presidential election.

„I think Zelensky is the greatest salesman in history. Every time he comes to our country he leaves with $60 billion. He wants the Democrats to win this election very badly,“ Trump said at a rally in Pennsylvania, according to Reuters.

Trump added that if he defeats Democratic candidate Kamala Harris in the election, he will call Russian President Vladimir Putin and Zelenskyy to reach an agreement to end the war.

Trump has consistently described US aid to Ukraine as a waste of money and has refused to say that he wants Ukraine to win, Reuters states, adding that Zelensky previously stated he cannot predict what Trump will do if he wins the November presidential elections, but expressed hope that Trump will support further US military backing for Ukraine.
