The first “Big Chicken” restaurant is opening in a Chicago suburb
“Big Chicken,” the fast-food restaurant founded by NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, is opening its first location in the Chicago area.
The restaurant, located on Higgins Road in Rosemont, is opening its doors on Tuesday, July 11.

To celebrate the opening, the first 34 guests in line will receive a free meal once a week for the next year.
It is known that NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has attended previous grand openings, but it is not yet known whether he will attend the Rosemont location.
“Big Chicken has more than 10 locations nationwide, mostly on the East and West coasts.
As stated on the website, the restaurant offers a menu that combines beloved traditional childhood flavors with bold new tastes. It features a variety of dishes such as chicken sandwiches, mac & cheese, sweet potato fries, and much more.
Besides the restaurant in Rosemont, another one is in preparation in Schaumburg. The opening date for that location has yet to be announced.
