Job Opening: Safety Assistant Chicago - 1 position
We are a growing safety consulting company looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the Pre-Employment Screening Process and Hiring and ensure that all applicants meet our company's safety and hiring standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough pre-employment screenings for new applicants.
- Generate and review MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) and PSP (Pre-Employment Screening Program) reports based on drivers’ licenses.
- Perform FMCSA Clearinghouse record checks.
- Communicate effectively with approved applicants via phone and email.
- Schedule pre-employment drug tests through MedStop.
- Collaborate closely with the Recruitment Team to efficiently process applicants and maintain a smooth hiring workflow.
- Conduct online driver onboarding and hiring.
- Gather required paperwork to create hiring files.
- Obtain necessary trip permits.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to process and analyze records for a large number of candidates efficiently and accurately.
- Previous experience in the trucking industry is a plus, but not required (training will be provided).
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

- Working hours: 08h-17h
- Experience: 6 months - 1 year experience preferred
