Nena Trucking INC is looking to hire an experienced and responsible Safety Manager to join our team at our office in Cicero, IL. We are looking for someone who understands the trucking industry, DOT/FMCSA compliance, driver safety, and the importance of maintaining strong safety standards across the company. Responsibilities: - Oversee daily safety, compliance, and risk prevention procedures - Ensure company operations follow DOT/FMCSA regulations, OSHA requirements, and company policies - Monitor driver compliance, safety performance, inspections, violations, and accident history - Review accidents, incidents, roadside inspections, and violations - Create and implement corrective action plans when needed - Maintain accurate records for audits, insurance, inspections, claims, and internal reporting - Assist with driver training, safety meetings, and ongoing education - Work closely with dispatch, HR, maintenance, recruiting, and operations - Track safety trends and identify areas where risk can be reduced - Communicate with DOT, FMCSA, insurance companies, brokers, and other compliance-related contacts when needed - Help improve company safety scores and overall safety performance Requirements: - 2+ years of previous experience - Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations - Experience with driver qualification files, inspections, violations, accident reporting, and audits - Understanding of ELD, hours of service, logbook compliance, and roadside inspections - Ability to stay organized and handle multiple tasks at the same time - Professional attitude and attention to detail - Ability to work from the office in Cicero, IL Please send your resume to [email protected] to apply.
