KCC Consulting Inc. is a fast-growing Safety consulting company providing full-service safety support to transportation companies across the U.S. We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Safety Manager to join our team and lead safety operations across multiple client accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the Safety Department team (assistants and specialists) to ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables.
- Oversee and continuously improve internal safety processes for hiring, onboarding, compliance, and accident response.
- Ensure client compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and other federal/state safety regulations.
- Monitor and track accident/incident reports, and lead communication and resolution efforts.
- Provide strategic guidance to clients on minimizing risk, improving safety culture, and preparing for audits.
- Manage communication with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure high-level service delivery.
- Develop and implement KPIs for the safety team and provide regular performance evaluations.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring of FMCSA Portal, CSA scores and alerts and manage the resolution of DOT inspections and traffic citations.
- Supporting the preparation of DOT audits and investigations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in U.S. trucking safety and compliance.
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading teams or managing safety processes.
- Strong understanding of FMCSA, DOT, and other regulatory bodies.
- Advanced organizational and time management skills.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
- High proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with safety software and compliance platforms is a plus.
