Minnesota congresswoman attacked in elevator: Threw hot coffee in attacker's face (VIDEO)

Minnesota Democratic Representative Angie Craig was attacked in her Washington apartment building, but managed to fight off her attacker.

As specified in her office's statement, the congresswoman was attacked in the building's elevator at 7:15 in the morning.

„Craig defended herself against the attacker and sustained bruises, but she is physically fine,“ said her chief of staff Nick Koe.

She poured hot coffee on the attacker's face and called the police, and the attacker fled, HuffPost reports.

There are no indications that the attack is politically motivated.
