Twitter: Investigation against Musk launched

US federal authorities have launched an investigation against American billionaire Elon Musk regarding his conduct during the takeover of the company „Twitter,“ the company stated in a court filing.

Twitter has released a court filing stating that Elon Musk is under investigation, though it did not specify the exact focus of the probe or which federal authorities are conducting it, Reuters reported.

The court filing was made on October 6th. „This game of hide and seek must end,“ the company stated in the filing.

On the other hand, Musk's lawyer Alex Spiro told Reuters that the court filing was a „misdirection.“.

„Twitter declined to comment on Speer's response.

The dispute between Twitter and Musk is being waged over the unresolved issue of financing the Twitter acquisition agreement reached in April.
