We are all witnesses today that parents are increasingly shielding their children and that they are privileged in many ways, which was not the case before.

Children today do not know how to appreciate what their parents do for them, and are often frustrated and apathetic in most cases. In the past, children were not asked what they wanted to do, what to eat, or where to go; instead, everything was done together as a family circle—specifically, however the mother and father planned the weekend or vacation, and the child followed them and their desires, which they used to educate and guide their child.

Today's children are offered a lot on a silver platter, and then that saying applies: „Give them an inch and they'll take a mile.“ First and foremost, children need to be taught gratitude—gratitude for what their parents can provide them depending on their capabilities. Today, many parents are dedicating more and more money and time to quality bonding time with their children, but many of them feel that the children do not know how to appreciate that.

Maybe it is time to stop trying so hard to make your child happy with various things or by asking what they want. Stop planning events for them. And do not try to teach them gratitude because you will not succeed in that, after all, they are young children. Let them be, let them eventually relax without all your entertainment and desires to make them happy.

Connect with your child by reading together, walking the dog they adore, doing a puzzle, dancing to music, and having them help you in the kitchen.

Listen to your child and their stories without comment; closeness and eye contact send a strong message to the child that they are important to you. This may take some time, but you must be patient until you find a common language of communication that satisfies both you and the child.

SOURCE: DIREKTNO.RS PHOTO: PIXABAY

Pitate se zašto je ovako, možda je surova istina ali je ipak istina i sušta realnost.
