This stance further deepens the debate on the role of foreign experts in the US economy and labor market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Program <strong>H-1B visa<\/strong> enables US companies to hire highly educated foreign professionals in specialized fields that require at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Although employers must prove that no US workers are available for the same position and that foreign workers are provided with a fair salary, many citizens still express dissatisfaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Survey results<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The research was conducted by the application <strong>Blind<\/strong>, an anonymous community of verified professionals, which between August 25 and September 3, 2025, included 4,230 respondents\u2014H-1B workers, green card holders, and U.S. citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The results showed major differences in perception:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>70% total respondents<\/strong> believes that H-1B workers play a key role in the development of American companies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>However, only <strong>49% of American citizens<\/strong> share that opinion, while waiting <strong>87% foreign professionals<\/strong> highlights their importance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When it comes to priority in hiring, <strong>60% American citizens<\/strong> believes that US citizens and green card holders should be given priority. Conversely, only <strong>11% of H-1B workers<\/strong> i <strong>35% permanent residents<\/strong> share this attitude.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Particularly worrying is the fact that <strong>one out of three respondents (33%)<\/strong> sees H-1B workers as direct competition. That percentage among Americans reaches as high as <strong>56%<\/strong>, while it is dividing it <strong>9% H-1B workers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Technology sector in focus<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The highest tensions are in <strong>tech industry<\/strong>, where H-1B visas are most used. Companies like <strong>Microsoft<\/strong>, <strong>Amazon<\/strong> i <strong>PayPal<\/strong> found themselves at the center of the debate. While some argue that these companies are \u201etaking jobs from Americans and giving them to foreigners,\u201c others warn that abolishing or restricting H-1B visas would only encourage the relocation of innovation to other countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The debate over H-1B visas is once again dividing the American public. While part of the population sees foreign workers as a threat, others believe they contribute to innovation, market expansion, and the global competitiveness of the U.S. economy.
